A sudden and intense fire broke out in Aroma, Tondo, prompting authorities to raise the alarm to Task Force Charlie, one of the highest emergency alert levels in fire incidents.
The blaze, which erupted earlier today, quickly consumed several residential structures, displacing dozens of families. Emergency teams rushed to the scene as the flames spread rapidly through the densely populated area.
By around noon, fire officials declared the fire under control. However, responders continue to monitor the area closely for any potential flare-ups or lingering threats.
The Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), along with multiple volunteer fire brigades and the Department of National Defense, mounted a swift and coordinated response to contain the blaze and evacuate affected residents.

Many residents lost their homes and belongings. Relief operations are now underway to provide food, shelter, and medical aid to the displaced families.
“It’s heartbreaking to lose a home, but life is always more important,” said one local official on the ground. “To our fellow citizens, especially the elderly—please stay safe. We are here and ready to help in any way we can.”
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire. An investigation is expected to follow once the area is declared fully safe.
