Four publicly listed companies under the Filinvest Group have been recognized by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for excellence in corporate governance at the 2025 Golden Arrow Awards. Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC), Filinvest REIT Corp. (FILRT), and EastWest Banking Corporation (EastWest) each received two Golden Arrows, while Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI) earned one.

For the conglomerate, these honors reaffirm that strong governance remains central to its growth and stakeholder confidence.

“This recognition reflects our collective effort to institutionalize strong governance practices across our businesses,” said Rhoda A. Huang, President and CEO of FDC. “At Filinvest, governance is not a one-time milestone—it is a continuous journey. Embedding these principles in our culture strengthens our growth and deepens the trust of our stakeholders.”

Global standards, local impact
The Golden Arrow Awards celebrate publicly listed companies that rank high on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), an international benchmark assessing performance across five key pillars: shareholder rights, equitable treatment, stakeholder relations, transparency, and board accountability. ICD’s recognition of the Filinvest Group confirms its adherence to these global standards while promoting long-term stakeholder value.

Integrity across industries
In banking, EastWest emphasizes that good governance drives its digital transformation and customer protection initiatives.

“Governance guides how we lead, serve, and innovate,” said Jerry G. Ngo, CEO of EastWest. “Integrity and accountability are at the core of how we earn our customers’ trust. This shared commitment unites us with the entire Filinvest Group and reflects our purpose of responsible, sustainable growth.”

For the real estate arm, governance principles serve as the foundation for inclusive and sustainable community development.

“At Filinvest Land, governance means staying true to our mission of building communities where Filipinos can live better lives,” said Tristan Las Marias, President and CEO of FLI. “By upholding integrity and accountability, we ensure our growth delivers real value to our homeowners, partners, and stakeholders.”

FILRT, the group’s real estate investment trust, continues to diversify its tenant portfolio and enhance value for investors through prudent management.

“Earning the 2-Golden Arrow distinction reaffirms FILRT’s progress in advancing sound governance,” said Maricel Brion-Lirio, President and CEO of FILRT. “It embodies our unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability as we strengthen our REIT platform and contribute to the Filinvest vision of sustainable growth.”

A legacy of trust and responsibility
The Golden Arrow recognitions highlight Filinvest’s long-standing culture of ethics and trust that has guided the group for over seven decades. FDC and FLI were honored for the fourth consecutive year, while EastWest and FILRT celebrated their third straight win.

As the group continues to expand its footprint across real estate, banking, power, and hospitality, Filinvest remains steadfast in its mission: to uphold world-class governance while enabling Filipino dreams through responsible and inclusive growth.
