Fair weather with warm and humid conditions prevails across the country on Holy Wednesday, April 1, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The state weather bureau reported that a ridge of a high-pressure area continues to affect Northern Luzon, contributing to stable atmospheric conditions.
The weather agency explained that this system is part of a broader high-pressure area where air descends.
Pagasa said the sinking air suppresses cloud development, resulting in clearer skies and increased sunlight reaching the ground.
They noted that reduced cloud cover allows more direct sunlight, leading to hotter and more humid conditions across many parts of the country.
Luzon is expected to experience generally fair weather with limited cloud formation, although heat and humidity will become more pronounced from late morning until the afternoon.
In Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, similar weather conditions are expected, with only isolated rain showers or brief thunderstorms likely in the afternoon or evening.
No gale warnings were raised over any seaboard, but Pagasa advised the public, especially those traveling during Holy Week, to limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, wear light clothing, use sun protection, and stay hydrated.
