MANILA – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Richard Anthony Fadullon as the prosecutor general of the National Prosecution Service (NPS) of the Department of Justice (DOJ), Malacañang announced on Monday.

Fadullon replaces Benedicto Malcontento, who resigned last October after five years at the helm of the NPS.

Fadullon, who served as acting prosecutor general following Malcontento’s resignation, earned his political science degree from the University of the Philippines and his law degree from San Beda University.

He began his career at the DOJ as a state prosecutor in 1994 and previously served as a clerk of court at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
