The festival officially kicked off on March 5, 2025, with a grand launch at Landers Arca South. AXIS performed dazzling flamenco, setting the stage for an exciting cultural journey.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony followed, led by Landers deputy chief executive officer Bill Cummings, Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Miguel Utray, European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Executive Director Florian Gottein, British Embassy Representative Windy Anonuevo, and celebrities Carla Abellana and Daniel Matsunaga.
In his welcome speech, Bill Cummings highlighted the festival’s significance, calling it Landers’ most ambitious showcase yet. “Over the years, we’ve brought top global brands and products to our members through our exclusive festivals. This time, we’re taking it even further. The Landers European Festival celebrates excellence, authenticity, and discovery, featuring over a thousand premium European finds—from well-loved household names to new brands waiting to be explored.”
He also encouraged attendees to experience the festival beyond just shopping. “We’ve prepared immersive activities that will transport you straight to Europe. Members can taste, explore, and sample premium selections for free while enjoying cultural booths and exciting experiences.”
Ambassador Utray and director Gottein also supported the festival, emphasizing its role in strengthening economic and cultural ties between Europe and the Philippines.
The European Festival 2025 Grand Launch opened with a captivating Flamenco dance performance, setting the stage for a vibrant celebration of European culture, music, and traditions.
