Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), the country’s leading consumer finance company, continues to reshape how Filipinos access essential products and services—from smartphones and home appliances to mobility solutions and insurance.
At its recent event, Future Focus: Building Tomorrow Together, HCPH revealed that it has financed over 2.5 million smartphones since January 2024—averaging 5,000 new devices daily by August 2025. This milestone underscores HCPH’s dramatic growth in just over a decade, evolving from a single retail booth into a nationwide financial partner trusted by millions.
From 33 customers to 12 million strong
What began in 2013 with just 33 customers has grown into a network serving over 12 million Filipinos nationwide. Today, HCPH reaches communities across the country through 18,000 partner stores and a dedicated force of 10,000 sales associates.
“Our journey has always been about empowering Filipinos to achieve more,” said Puneet Suneja, Chief Sales Officer of HCPH. “From 33 customers on our first day to 12 million today, each milestone reflects our mission to make modern living more attainable—whether through a smartphone, an appliance, or mobility solutions.”
Premium smartphones made affordable
Among Home Credit’s most sought-after products are premium smartphones, especially iPhones. Financing for iPhones alone hit ₱10 billion in 2024 and is projected to double to ₱20 billion by the end of 2025—proof of growing demand among Filipino consumers looking to upgrade their tech.
Bringing comfort and connectivity to every home
HCPH has also become a major driver of household modernization, with refrigerators, televisions, and air conditioners ranking among the top financed products.
During peak season, the company financed an average of 700 refrigerators, 1,400 televisions, and 1,100 air conditioners per day—showing how Filipino households are investing in comfort and convenience.
Fueling the mobility boom
Mobility is another fast-growing category. The Philippines is now the world’s fifth-largest motorcycle market, according to motorcycledata.com, and HCPH has tapped into this surge by offering flexible financing for motorcycles and e-bikes.
Since early 2024, the company has financed nearly 70,000 motorcycles and e-bikes worth ₱4.5 billion, helping Filipinos gain not just transportation, but greater independence in managing work, family, and leisure.
Protection that goes beyond purchase
Home Credit also ensures its customers are protected through Home Credit Protect, a comprehensive program designed to offer peace of mind at minimal cost. Customers can choose:
- Borrower Protection – Covers accidents, life, illness, hospital cash, installment waiver, unlimited online consultations, and financial security for the borrower and their family.
- Device Protection – Safeguards gadgets from accidental liquid damage, offers extended warranty, door-to-door repair or replacement, and like-for-like device replacement.
“For as low as ₱3 a day—the price of a pandesal—customers can protect their purchases, extend product life, and secure coverage for themselves and their families,” Suneja said.
As of August 2025, HCPH has approved and released over ₱1.75 billion in claims, with nearly 70,000 devices repaired or replaced under Home Credit Protect—evidence of strong customer trust.
Driving the Philippines’ digital economy
These achievements highlight the crucial role of consumer finance in fueling economic and digital growth. Access to smartphones, home upgrades, and mobility tools drives productivity, improves quality of life, and strengthens the Philippines’ standing as one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic consumer markets.
“With our scale and expertise, Home Credit is not only serving individual customers but also contributing to economic activity,” said Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of HCPH. “We’re on track to surpass last year’s performance and will keep supporting a new generation of Filipinos seeking access to technology, comfort, and convenience in everyday life.”
