At least eleven additional people were injured in Iranian missile attacks on central Israel, local media reported on Tuesday, as missile launches continue in the region.
Yedioth Ahronoth, citing Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom, said five of the injured were at two locations in central Israel.
A woman in her 40s suffered moderate injuries from a shockwave, while four others sustained minor wounds from glass shrapnel and blast effects.
Fragments from interceptor missiles damaged a building in Bnei Brak, the newspaper reported.
Shrapnel also fell in Ramat Gan, and several vehicles caught fire in Rosh HaAyin following recent missile launches from Iran.
Israeli military sources said the missiles carried fragmentation warheads, which scattered debris over wide areas, increasing the risk to civilians.
Air raid sirens were activated across central Israel and later extended to the Galilee and Haifa regions in the north as attacks continued.
The missile strikes follow a large-scale U.S. and Israeli assault on Iran over the weekend that killed nearly 800 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran has retaliated with drones and missiles targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets.
