The Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) Ortigas Interchange is set to reopen to light vehicles on Monday after a temporary closure for repairs, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
The agency said the flyover remained closed on Sunday as crews continued restoration work following a bus fire that damaged part of the structure.
Maintenance activities included clearing debris, cleaning the affected area, reinstalling damaged road safety devices, and conducting load testing to ensure the integrity of the interchange.
The DPWH said the reopening on April 27 would initially allow only light vehicles to pass through the area.
Traffic management upon reopening will be handled by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority to help ease congestion and ensure orderly flow.
The closure was imposed after a passenger bus caught fire along the southbound lane of the Edsa Ortigas flyover on Friday evening.
The incident prompted authorities to suspend access to the interchange while safety inspections and repairs were carried out.
Officials advised motorists to follow traffic advisories and use alternate routes while restrictions remain in place.
