Dy urges Co to face probe on flood corruption

House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III on Tuesday called on former Ako Bicol Party-list representative Zaldy Co to return to the Philippines and face investigation over alleged corruption in flood control projects. The appeal comes after Co released a video accusing President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and former Speaker Martin Romualdez of pocketing billions in government funds—claims both cousins have denied.

Kailangan niyang humarap, manumpa, at magharap ng ebidensiya sa mga awtoridad tulad ng [Independent Commission for Infrastructure],” Dy said, emphasizing the need for Co to present evidence in person.

Dy added he is ready to coordinate with government agencies to provide security assistance for Co while he gives his testimony.

The Speaker stressed that while other implicated lawmakers have cooperated, Co’s actions have caused public confusion.

Acknowledging public frustration over alleged disinformation, Dy urged Co to return and face the nation.
