DSWD on full alert to assist travelers this Undas

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and its field offices nationwide are on standby to provide immediate assistance to families and individuals during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao of the DSWD’s Disaster Response Management Group said Secretary Rex Gatchalian has directed all regional directors to ensure readiness to assist travelers heading home to the provinces.

She assured that the DSWD has enough relief supplies, including ready-to-eat food, family food packs, and other essential items, especially for stranded travelers.

Quick Response Teams across the country are also on full alert to assist local government units and respond to any untoward incidents.

“Sa DSWD, 365 days a year ang aming disaster preparation.
