The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Caraga Region (DSWD-13) on Monday expressed gratitude to various groups assisting families impacted by strong earthquakes in Mindanao since October 10.
In a statement, DSWD-13 highlighted how these groups helped load 30,000 family food packs (FFPs) onto 18 cargo trucks that departed for Manay, Davao Oriental, on Sunday afternoon. Recognized partners included the Philippine Army, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army and Navy Reservists, Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, and other volunteers.
“The agency is also thankful to the disaster response teams in the region for their support to ensure that affected communities and families by the recent earthquakes receive interventions from the government,” the DSWD-13 said.
As of Sunday, the agency has PHP168.7 million in standby relief resources, comprising PHP2.7 million in funds and PHP166 million in food and non-food items.
