The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has commenced weekend repair works on the northbound section of the Magallanes-EDSA flyover, the agency announced Friday.
According to the DPWH-Metro Manila 2nd District Engineering Office, the repairs will focus on Lanes 1 and 2 and are scheduled to take place every weekend until June.
The scope of work includes the removal and installation of a finger-type expansion joint, repainting of steel components, and concrete repairs. These activities will necessitate partial closures along the flyover, which stretches from Pasay City to Cubao, Quezon City.
To accelerate progress, the DPWH will also carry out roadworks during the Holy Week break from April 16 to 21.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution, use alternate routes, and take advantage of adjacent open lanes.
