The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday unveiled changes to Metro Manila’s train schedules for the upcoming holiday season, aimed at accommodating the increased number of commuters during Christmas and New Year.
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista explained that the adjustments would extend service hours to better serve passengers during the busy holiday period.
“On select days, our trains will operate earlier in the morning and later into the night to offer greater convenience to passengers during the holiday season,” he said in a statement.
Bautista noted that the schedule changes will also provide rail employees more time to celebrate the holidays with their families.
The DOTr urges commuters to check these adjusted schedules ahead of their trips to better plan their travel during the holiday season.
