DOTr ‘all hands on deck’ for Undas to ensure safety

The Department of Transportation (DOTr)  Secretary Jaime Bautista ordered Oplan Biyaheng Ayos for Undas and directed all DOTr attached agencies to ensure “preferential, comfortable, affordable, safe, secure, and accessible” service for the passengers this upcoming “Undas” season.

“Every peak season mayroon kaming Oplan Biyaheng Ayos. Ang objective natin dito ay mabigyan ang mga pasahero ng casa service (There is an Oplan Biyaheng Ayos every peak season. Our objective here is to give every passenger great service),” Bautista said.

The DOTr is collaborating with the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and transport terminals like the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange to guarantee the security of the passengers.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued 298 permits for 796 buses for passengers heading to their provinces, and LTFRB chair Teeofilo Guadiz III assures that if more special permits are needed, they will be issued.
