The Department of Tourism has launched a new domestic tourism campaign offering more than 3,000 travel deals to encourage Filipinos to explore destinations across the country during the lean travel season.
Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay led the launch of the Discover More to Love campaign during the Central Philippines Tourism Expo 2026 in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The campaign, which runs from July to November, brings together hotels, tour operators, airlines, online travel platforms, and payment partners in a nationwide push to stimulate local travel and support tourism enterprises.
The DOT said more than 70 hotels and resorts under the Hotels Sales and Marketing Association are offering discounts of up to 70 percent, while travelers may also choose from over 250 regional travel deals and discounted airfares from Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia Philippines, and Sunlight Air.
Angara-Mathay said the campaign was designed as a collaborative platform with tourism stakeholders and travelers, adding that public feedback would help improve the website and make it more responsive to the needs of Filipino tourists.
The travel deals are available through the DOT’s improved website, where users can browse direct-to-booking offers, staycation packages, bundled experiences, dining and attraction credits, flexible booking arrangements, weekend promotions, loyalty perks, and seasonal activities.
The tourism chief clarified that Discover More to Love does not replace Love the Philippines, but serves as a domestic tourism campaign under the same brand to help Filipinos find more reasons to travel within the country.
The DOT said domestic tourism remains a major economic driver, with spending reaching Php 3.26 trillion in 2025 and tourism employment hitting 7.7 million. Industry groups, including hotel, travel, tour operator, airline, and payment partners, have expressed support for the campaign as a way to sustain bookings, protect jobs, and strengthen local economies.
