A joint initiative of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the job fair runs until Saturday (Oct. 11).

Over 1,700 job opportunities in the country’s thriving tourism sector await applicants at the 4th Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso: Philippine Tourism Job Fair, happening from October 9 to 11, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

Launched in 2022 under the Marcos administration, Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso is a joint initiative of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) aimed at promoting inclusive recovery and sustainable employment for Filipinos across the tourism value chain.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco led the opening day activities, personally engaging with job seekers and industry representatives while witnessing several on-the-spot hirings.

“Tourism is more than destinations—it’s about people and possibilities,” Frasco said. “In 2024, over 6.75 million Filipinos—13.83 percent of our workforce—were employed in tourism. Through this job fair, we are opening more doors for meaningful careers that empower individuals and uplift communities under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.”

Now on its fourth year, Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso continues to bridge tourism employers and Filipino job seekers in hospitality, travel, and wellness industries. More than 50 employers are participating this year, offering vacancies ranging from front-line service to managerial positions in accommodation, food and beverage, travel, and logistics.

Among the available roles are room attendants, guest service agents, baristas, chefs, dining staff, and restaurant supervisors, as well as customer care, sales, administrative, and logistics positions such as encoders, warehouse personnel, production helpers, and vehicle operators.

Held alongside the 16th Hotel and Foodservice Suppliers Show and Beauty + Health and Wellness Manila 2025, the job fair also provides a venue for upskilling, training, and industry networking.

One of the early success stories was Sherwin Niño Bodo, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management graduate, who secured a position as a room attendant at ACE Hotel and Resort. “I worked abroad before, but I wanted to come home for my family. This fair made it so easy—no long lines, and I got hired on the spot,” he shared.

Also gracing the opening program were DOT Undersecretary Maria Rica C. Bueno, Assistant Secretary Christine Joy Cari, representatives from DOLE-NCR, Global-Link MP Events International Inc., and industry partners such as the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) and the Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines.

Interested job seekers may pre-register at https://live.vx-events.com/events/DOTjobfair and visit the fair until Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City.
