Luka Doncic marked his 27th birthday with a dominant all-around showing as the Los Angeles Lakers overwhelmed the Golden State Warriors, 129 to 101, on Saturday in San Francisco.
Los Angeles arrived in the Bay Area riding a three-game slide but quickly flipped the script. After conceding the opening basket, the Lakers rattled off a 10-0 burst and steadily widened the gap, never trailing again.
Doncic finished with 26 points, eight assists and six rebounds to set the tone. LeBron James complemented him with 22 points on efficient shooting, while also flirting with a triple-double behind nine assists and seven rebounds.
Golden State struggled to generate offense, with only Gui Santos reaching double figures above 12 points. The Warriors failed to match Los Angeles’ pace and precision on both ends of the floor.
In Charlotte, the Charlotte Hornets leaned on timely perimeter shooting to turn back Portland. Brandon Miller drilled six triples among his 26 points, while Coby White supplied a strong bench lift as the Hornets stretched their winning run.
Miami also found late-game traction, with the Miami Heat pulling away from Houston behind a balanced attack. Bam Adebayo logged a double-double, and Andrew Wiggins fueled a decisive fourth-quarter push after briefly exiting with an injury.
Toronto relied on crisp ball movement and a blistering second half to subdue Washington. The Toronto Raptors shot at a torrid clip after halftime, with Immanuel Quickley steering the offense and multiple teammates finishing in double figures.
New Orleans continued its surge by dispatching Utah once more, powered by Saddiq Bey and a deep supporting cast. The Pelicans’ latest win underscored their momentum, even as injuries trimmed minutes from some key scorers.
