The Department of Health (DOH) 13 (Caraga Region) announced Thursday the issuance of Licenses to Operate (LTOs) to six additional Primary Care Facilities (PCFs), bringing the total number of licensed facilities in the region to 36.
The newly licensed PCFs include the Tandag City Health Office and Birthing Center, Barobo Primary Care Facility in Surigao del Sur, Prosperidad Rural Health Unit in Agusan del Sur, Placer Primary Care Facility in Surigao del Norte, and the Luna and Cagniog Primary Care Facilities in Surigao City.
“The release of additional LTOs marks a significant advancement in strengthening the region’s healthcare system and expanding access to quality primary health care services,” DOH-13 said.
With the new licenses, these facilities are now officially recognized as Primary Care Providers, meeting national standards. The move supports the government’s ongoing push for Universal Health Care by promoting accessible, efficient, and equitable health services across the Caraga Region.
