The Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP) reaffirmed its leadership in driving ethical innovation during the 10th Digital Congress (DigiCon 2025), held October 16–17 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
With the theme “The Age of ‘i’: The Power of Personalization,” the country’s largest digital marketing conference gathered more than 2,000 delegates across industries—marketing, advertising, business, media, and academia—to explore the latest technologies and strategies shaping consumer engagement in the AI era.
DigiCon 2025 highlighted the growing responsibility that comes with personalization, as AI and data analytics redefine how brands connect with customers. Delegates delved into five key tracks—Innovation (AI), Intelligence (Data Science), Immersive (Retail and Activations), Impact (Brand Building), and Integration (Business Transformation)—each designed to help professionals navigate the balance between relevance, respect, and regulation.

Studies show that 71% of consumers now expect personalized experiences, and high-growth companies earn 40% more revenue by delivering them. Yet DMAP emphasized that the future of personalization must be anchored in ethics, transparency, and consent.
In his keynote, global technology leader Dex Hunter-Torricke, who previously served with Facebook and SpaceX, explored how the coming decade will redefine marketing as AI capabilities evolve toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
“The next decade is going to be the most challenging moment in history,” he said. “AI is ushering in an era of hyper-personalization—one that can deeply understand and respond to the needs of every individual. But this power also demands responsibility. The marketers who thrive will be those who see their role as part of a much larger, connected story.”
DigiCon 2025 Chair Alan Fontanilla echoed the call for ethical transformation, urging brands to treat privacy and trust as core values rather than afterthoughts.
“Personalization has been democratized. Everyone can do it—but not everyone should,” Fontanilla said. “People don’t just want relevance; they want respect. Consent, ethics, and transparency must be the new currencies of marketing.”
To reinforce DMAP’s mission of industry development, DigiCon 2025 offered delegates the chance to earn professional certifications through the Certified Digital Marketer (CDM) partnership program. The initiative aims to equip marketing professionals with the skills and ethical frameworks needed to succeed amid evolving technologies and consumer expectations.
DMAP President Miko David summarized the spirit of the event, “The future of marketing is powered by AI—but sustained by integrity. DigiCon 2025 not only charted the path toward hyper-personalization but also reminded us that innovation must always be guided by responsibility. The conversations started here will shape a more ethical, inclusive, and forward-looking digital ecosystem.”
