A multi-sector delegation from the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium Governance Council met with the Department of Health Metro Manila Center for Health Development on Thursday.
The courtesy visit was led by PIA Metro Manila Regional Director Emver Cortez, together with members of the Multi-Sector Governance Council.
DOH Metro Manila CHD Regional Director Dr. Lester Tan received the group during the meeting.
Talks centered on aligning governance efforts and regional health policies to support the hospital’s transition into a leading medical and training facility in Northern Metro Manila.
Officials discussed ways to improve coordination to deliver more responsive and inclusive public health services for urban communities.
The council, composed of representatives from communications, livelihood, science and technology, health, and beneficiary sectors, was presented as a model for cross-sector collaboration.
Participants stressed that the initiative aims to balance institutional upgrading with community-centered health priorities.
The engagement forms part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery through coordinated governance and partnerships.
