MANILA, Philippines – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has offered a Php 50-million reward for information leading to the arrest of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in connection with an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant over alleged killings during the Duterte administration’s anti-drug campaign.
DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla described Dela Rosa as “armed and dangerous,” while the Philippine National Police (PNP) reportedly gave the senator one week to surrender to authorities.
Dela Rosa, who served as PNP chief under former President Rodrigo Duterte, is accused of involvement in alleged crimes against humanity linked to the government’s controversial anti-drug operations.
Authorities have formed a special task force to locate the senator and enforce the arrest warrant.
Dela Rosa remains entitled to the presumption of innocence as the allegations against him undergo legal proceedings.
