The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has earned its first international Bronze Stevie Award for its eGovPH ecosystem, recognizing the Philippines’ efforts to modernize public services through digital technology.
In a statement Tuesday, the DICT said its entry, “Building a Contactless, Paperless and Cashless Government: The DICT eGov Ecosystem,” won in the Public Administration & Governance Innovation of the Year category at the 2026 International Business Awards.
The competition evaluated more than 3,800 nominations from 78 countries and territories, with winners selected based on the average scores of over 300 judges.
The DICT said the recognition highlights the government’s efforts to simplify public transactions and reduce the time and expenses associated with accessing government services.
“Traditionally, accessing government services means traveling to offices, waiting in long queues, and preparing multiple documents. These processes cost time and money, particularly for workers, business owners, and residents of remote communities,” the agency said.
At the center of the initiative is the eGovPH Super App, which consolidates various government services into a single digital platform.
According to the DICT, the application has recorded more than 67 million downloads and over 1.1 billion transactions.
The broader eGov ecosystem also includes eGovDX, which connects more than 1,700 government systems to facilitate secure data sharing and improve coordination among agencies.
Another component, eVerify, provides digital identity verification services and has processed more than 370 million transactions.
The platform also features eGovAI, which offers artificial intelligence-assisted citizen support and job matching services. It has registered more than 200 million transactions and serves approximately 10 million users.
Meanwhile, eGovDocs supports electronic approvals and secure digital signatures, with more than 48 million digital documents processed.
For local government services, eLGU enables residents and businesses to process applications for business, sanitary, and building permits online.
The system currently covers more than 1,100 local government units nationwide.
The DICT said these platforms aim to minimize unnecessary visits to government offices, shorten processing times, and reduce transportation expenses by allowing citizens to complete transactions digitally.
The award was presented during the Stevie Awards Fall Event on October 28 at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse in Paris, France.
The agency said the international recognition supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to accelerate digital transformation and make government services more efficient, accessible, and responsive to the needs of Filipinos.
