DICT Ilocos Norte to offer free digital skills training for MSMEs

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Ilocos Norte is set to conduct training for owners and employees of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) aimed at enhancing their digital skills and boosting their businesses.

The free training, titled “Social Media Marketing 2.0: A Paradigm Shift in AI-Powered Interaction,” will take place from September 1 to 6 at the DICT building in Barangay 3, located behind the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena.

“This training is designed to empower MSMEs in Region 1 by enhancing their digital marketing capabilities through advanced AI-powered tools and strategies,” stated DICT Ilocos Norte chief Gerald Victor Calamaan in a press release on Friday.

The DICT has announced that only 25 slots are available for this training. Applicants must be proficient in using computers and internet browsers and must have access to a reliable desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection.

This comprehensive training is part of a nationwide initiative by the DICT to equip MSME owners and employees with essential skills in social media management, content creation, and digital engagement, thereby accelerating business growth in the evolving digital landscape.
