The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) was recognized for its leadership in digital governance after bagging two major awards at the GovMedia 2025 Awards held at Marina Bay Sands.
The agency won Digital Transformation of the Year for its eGovDX platform and E-Governance Project of the Year for the eGovPH Super App, both of which are central to the Philippine government’s push to modernize and streamline public services.
“These initiatives are in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to simplify and automate government processes,” said DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda. “They reflect the world-class capabilities of Filipinos and are designed to improve access to public services, especially in underserved communities.”
The eGovDX (e-Government Digital Transformation Exchange) platform connects more than 1,000 government systems, enabling secure and seamless data exchange among agencies. So far, it has facilitated over 480 million transactions, signaling a major leap in efficiency and interconnectivity.
Meanwhile, the eGovPH Super App serves as a one-stop digital hub for citizens to access a wide range of government services—from document processing to business registrations—anytime, anywhere.
“These efforts are part of our commitment to cut red tape and ensure that services are within reach, even for those in the most remote areas,” Aguda added. “No more long lines or waiting under the sun. Government services will now be just a few taps away.”
Aguda emphasized that both projects are part of the DICT’s broader vision of Digital Bayanihan, a movement to empower every Filipino by bridging the digital divide and expanding opportunities through technology.
“Under the Bagong Pilipinas initiative, we aim to ensure that every Filipino has access to services, education, and opportunity—no one gets left behind,” he said.
Other Philippine agencies also received honors at the event. The Department of Migrant Workers was awarded Campaign of the Year (Labor Category – Philippines) for its Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Persons (AIRTIP) initiative, while the OFW Hospital in Pampanga was named Public Facility of the Year (Health Category – Philippines).
