DHSUD, UP ink partnership under PBBM’s 4PH Program

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the University of the Philippines on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a housing project under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s flagship Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar and UP president Angelo Jimenez signed the MOU during a simple ceremony at the DHSUD Central Office. Subsequently, they inspected the proposed project site in UP Diliman.

Under the MOU, UP Management expressed its intent to participate in the Marcos Jr. administration’s flagship housing program.

The DHSUD vowed to facilitate the construction of a 4PH building on the land identified by UP for the housing of qualified UP faculty and staff.

The Department will also provide end-user interest subsidy for qualified 4PH beneficiaries at UP.

“This MOA solidifies our partnership with UP management toward our common goal of providing decent yet affordable shelters in sustainable communities under President Marcos Jr.’s 4PH, this time for the benefit of UP constituents, ” Acuzar said.

“Ang pagbubuklod natin ay magsisilbing pundasyon ng ating pinagsanib na hangad para sa ikabubuti ng mga taga-UP…hangad namin na makapagpatayo tayo ng sustainable housing sa loob ng UP, para sa mga taga-UP,” he concluded.
