In a major step toward a greener future, MSpectrum Inc.—the solar energy arm of Meralco—has successfully energized a 120-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar rooftop system for DHL Supply Chain’s training center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

This clean energy project is expected to generate around 171,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable power every year. That’s enough to slash 121 tons of carbon emissions annually—equivalent to planting over 5,500 trees or eliminating 482,000 kilometers of car travel from the road.

“This is just the beginning,” said Bevan Williams, DHL supply chain Philippines’ country managing director. “We’re exploring more solar-powered sites because it simply makes sense—for the planet and for the future. Our investment in solar is only growing, and we’re excited to continue this journey with MSpectrum.”

The partnership is a shining example of how companies can align operational growth with sustainability. For MSpectrum, the project not only advances its mission of clean energy adoption but also strengthens its alliance with a global leader in logistics.

“Working with DHL, a brand synonymous with global excellence, is a privilege,” said Ma. Cecilia M. Domingo, MSpectrum president and CEO. “This project represents more than just clean energy—it’s a bold move toward a future where solar rooftops become the norm across the Philippines.”

This installation is the latest in an ongoing collaboration between Meralco and DHL, which first took root with the energization of DHL’s largest facility in Sta. Rosa. The partnership deepened with Power Consult’s support in helping DHL fine-tune its energy use and efficiency.

“Meralco powers businesses like DHL that keep global supply chains moving,” said Charina P. Padua, Meralco’s first vice president and head of customer retail services. “Together, we’re not just fueling operations—we’re helping build a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable nation.”

Meralco and its subsidiaries continue to champion the logistics sector with innovative energy solutions, empowering businesses to lead the charge in driving both economic progress and environmental stewardship.
