The body count in the Balibago building collapse climbed to six after another victim was pulled from the rubble early Friday.

Rescuers recovered the latest fatality at around 12:40 a.m., following hours of nonstop clearing operations at the disaster site.

Authorities had already confirmed signs of another body late Thursday night, prompting teams to continue digging despite the risk posed by the unstable structure.

The latest retrieval came shortly after crews located the fifth victim, which took nearly 14 hours of work in one sector of the collapse zone.

Search operations have remained intense, with responders rotating in shifts to sustain efforts on the ground.

The nine-story building, still under construction, gave way before dawn on May 24, trapping workers beneath tons of debris.

Teams have been working through crushed concrete, tangled steel bars, and collapsed scaffolding in a race against time.

Operations are ongoing as authorities push to locate those still unaccounted for.
