More than 200 jobseekers have signed up for a Civil Service Commission job fair in Bicol offering over 200 vacant positions across several government agencies.

CSC-Bicol Director Rosallini Moneda said 226 applicants registered for the Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan 2026, which allows participants to review vacancies, ask about requirements and submit personal data sheets in one venue.

She said the setup was designed to reduce the need for applicants to visit multiple offices when exploring government employment opportunities.

The CSC also provided jobseekers with guidance on application preparation and other tips they could use beyond the event.

Among those who attended were unemployed applicants and fresh graduates from Albay and Sorsogon who said the activity made government job openings more accessible.

Participating offices included Bicol Medical Center, Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center, Bicol University, the Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Commission on Elections, Department of Agrarian Reform and Department of Labor and Employment.

Also represented were the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Public Works and Highways, Professional Regulation Commission, Philippine Health Insurance Corp. and the Philippine Statistics Authority.

The activity formed part of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration and was intended to bring government recruitment and front-line services closer to prospective applicants.
