Concentrix gathered leaders from government, technology, and key industries on March 24 for Filipinnovation-powered by Concentrix, an exclusive business summit aimed at deepening the national conversation on digital transformation and cyber-resilience in the Philippines.
Now in its second year, the summit carried the theme “Transformation Protecting the Country’s Digital Future” and brought together decision-makers from aviation, energy, real estate, retail, education, insurance, financial services, logistics, communications, and technology. The event underscored the growing importance of cybersecurity as a pillar of sustainable growth, business continuity, and national resilience.
In his opening remarks, Department of Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary for Strategic Initiatives and Industry and Competency Development Leandro Aguirre stressed the importance of stronger public-private cooperation in building a secure digital ecosystem.
“If we approach cybersecurity as a shared responsibility, through capacity-building, through policies that encourage responsible behavior, and through collaboration, then we can build and sustain a digital environment that is not only innovative, but also secure, resilient, and worthy of the trust of the Filipino people,” Aguirre said.
The summit also served as a platform for Concentrix to showcase its digital solutions, including the iX Suite of AI-powered applications designed to enhance performance and business outcomes, as well as Concentrix CyberProtect, its comprehensive threat protection offering. Event partner Genesys, a leader in cloud-based AI and customer experience solutions, also shared its perspective on the future of customer engagement.
“Winning in CX is about connecting data, AI, and systems—combining speed, empathy, and context seamlessly together. This is experience orchestration,” said Ashok Sankaran, Director of Partner and Alliances for APAC at Genesys.
Keynote speaker Donald Lim, head of the Cybersecurity Council of the Philippines, president of the Management Association of the Philippines, and president of DITO CME Holdings, emphasized the need for long-term and comprehensive cybersecurity strategies as digital threats continue to evolve. A fireside chat featuring leaders from the aviation and energy sectors further reinforced how cyber risks now extend far beyond IT systems, affecting operations, customer confidence, and even national stability.
Throughout the summit, one message stood out clearly: cybersecurity can no longer be treated as a back-end function, but must be embedded at the heart of business strategy, championed across all levels of an organization, and reinforced through sustained collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Closing the event, Amit Jagga, executive vice president and chief business officer of Concentrix Philippines, called for a shift from reactive security measures to resilience by design.
“Protecting our digital future requires action across industries and sectors—because trust is the currency of the digital economy, and cybersecurity is what protects it,” Jagga said.
