Comelec to print test ballots for BARMM Parliamentary Elections

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced on Saturday that the printing of field test ballots for the 2025 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections will take place on July 14.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia stated that approximately 160 ballots for this month’s field test will be printed at the National Printing Office (NPO) facility in Quezon City.

“The printing will commence after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the provision of printing services in relation to the 2025 BARMM Parliamentary Elections, which is scheduled on 14 July 2025, 2:00 P.M. at the Chairman’s Hall, Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila,” he said.

Garcia emphasized that the ballots will not include the names of candidates or political parties for the October 13 polls, noting that “these will be used solely for simulation and testing purposes.”

“This field test aims to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of the electoral rules, procedures, and automated election systems to be deployed in BARMM, as part of the Commission’s preparatory activities for the upcoming BARMM Parliamentary Elections on 13 October 2025,” he added.
