Comelec releases initial list of approved online campaign platforms

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released the initial list of approved online campaign platforms for candidates and party-list organizations participating in the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections.

In a statement posted on social media, Comelec confirmed that various social media platforms, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram, have been authorized for 29 senatorial candidates and 85 party-list organizations that have fully complied with registration requirements.

“The Commission En Banc has approved the registrations of online campaign platforms of fully compliant candidates and parties in the 2025 National and Local Elections and BARMM Parliamentary Elections under Comelec Minute Resolution No. 25-0167 dated February 7, 2025,” Comelec announced.

Senatorial candidates with approved online platforms
Among those granted campaign approval online are:

  • Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino
  • Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.
  • Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa
  • Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go
  • Maria Imelda “Imee” Romualdez Marcos
  • Francis Pancratius “Kiko” Pangilinan
  • Francis “Chiz” Escudero
  • Erwin Teshiba Tulfo
  • Bienvenido Teshiba Tulfo
  • Wilfredo Buendia Revillame
  • Apollo Carreon Quiboloy
  • Rodante Dizon Marcoleta
  • Liza Largoza Maza
  • Danilo Hernandez Ramos

Party-list groups with approved online platforms
The 85 party-list organizations granted permission to use online platforms include:

  • 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilya Party-List)
  • FPJ Panday Bayanihan
  • Kabataan Party-List
  • Bicol Saro
  • United Senior Citizens
  • Ako Padayon
  • Patrol Party-List
  • Epanaw Sambayanan
  • Ipatupad Party-List

The complete list of party-list groups and their respective online campaign platforms can also be accessed on the Comelec website under “Approved Online Platforms – Party-List.”

Campaign period and regulations
The official campaign period for national positions, including senators and party-list representatives, began on February 11 and will run until May 10, 2025.

Comelec reminds all candidates and party-list groups to adhere to election guidelines, particularly those related to campaign spending, fair use of social media, and the prohibition of disinformation and hate speech.
