The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has canceled the registration and delisted 50 party-list groups under Resolution No. 11281 for failing to comply with the requirements of Republic Act No. 7941, or the Party-List System Act.
According to the resolution, 10 groups were delisted for failing to participate in two consecutive elections, while 40 others had their registrations canceled for failing to obtain the required votes and secure a seat during the second round of seat allocation in the last two elections.
Among the affected groups are Bayan Muna, BOSES (formerly MOCHA), Hugpong Federal, Magdalo Para Sa Pilipino, BUHAY, and A TEACHER.
COMELEC clarified that the resolution is separate from other petitions involving political parties and nominees seeking participation in the 2028 National and Local Elections.
