The political spotlight is once again turning to Quezon City, dubbed the “City of Stars,” as several prominent personalities from the entertainment and media industries are being mentioned as possible contenders in the 2028 mayoral elections.

Among the names drawing attention is former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, whose potential political comeback has become a subject of speculation.

Television host Willie Revillame and broadcaster Ben Tulfo are also among the personalities being discussed as possible candidates. Tulfo is the brother of Senators Raffy and Erwin Tulfo and the uncle of Quezon City 2nd District Representative Ralph Tulfo.

Veteran television host and comedian Vic Sotto has likewise been mentioned in discussions surrounding the mayoral race. He is the brother of Senator Tito Sotto, uncle of incumbent Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, and father of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.

Despite the growing political buzz, the possible candidacies remain speculative, with no official confirmation from the personalities mentioned.

As the 2028 elections approach, attention is expected to turn to whether any of these familiar faces will formally enter the race for Quezon City Hall.

In a city known for producing some of the country’s biggest entertainment stars, the question remains: Who among these personalities, if any, will take their political ambitions to the next level?
