Your favorite take-home roasted chicken could soon be sitting alongside pasta, steaks, and margaritas.
The holding company behind Chooks-to-Go has officially stepped into the sit-down dining space after the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) gave its go-signal for Inoza Business Holdings Inc. to acquire a controlling stake in The Bistro Group.
This means the powerhouse behind Bounty Fresh chicken, Chooks-to-Go, and Uling Roasters is now also at the helm of popular casual dining brands like Italianni’s, TGI Fridays, and Texas Roadhouse.
Regulators cleared the deal, saying it won’t hurt competition since the two groups hold relatively small market shares and plenty of suppliers are still in play for meat and poultry products.
For diners, the tie-up could be a recipe for fresher concepts, smoother operations, and possibly even more value-driven dining experiences—whether you’re grabbing roasted chicken for the family or settling in for a night out with cocktails and ribs.
Industry watchers say the move reflects a larger trend: food businesses aren’t just about filling stomachs anymore—they’re about lifestyle, convenience, and creating communities around meals. By marrying quick-service affordability with Bistro’s full-service appeal, Inoza is positioning itself as a one-stop player in how Filipinos eat out, stay in, and celebrate.
From counters to candlelit tables, the roasted chicken empire is clearly hungry for more.
