Ching Huang of Chinese Taipei delivered a closing-round masterclass to dominate the ICTSI Philippine Ladies Masters, firing a brilliant six-under-par 66 on Friday to seal a runaway victory at Summit Point Golf & Country Club.

Huang set the tone early, erupting with four birdies in her first five holes to seize complete control of the tournament. She closed with an emphatic 11-under-par 205 total over 54 holes, comfortably ahead of a strong international field to pocket the USD30,000 winner’s prize.

“I’m really happy because I didn’t expect to win here again,” said the 30-year-old, who clinched her fifth career title and her first since a four-shot triumph at the 2018 ICTSI Champion Tour stop at Tagaytay Midlands. “I just did my best in the first round and told myself that if I could sustain my game, I had a chance. Everything just clicked. With so many strong players in the field, I knew I had to play well to win.”

South Koreans Jeonghyeon Kang and Yeonseo Hwang briefly applied pressure after birdies on the par-5 14th cut the gap to three, but Huang calmly responded with a birdie on the 15th to reassert her dominance. She added another birdie on the 17th, matching the tournament’s best single-round score of six-under set earlier by Yunseo Lee.

“I was nervous,” Huang admitted. “I just focused on keeping my tempo, taking it one shot at a time, and trying to play the way I did in the second round.”

Kang closed with birdies on the final two holes to salvage a 71 and finish solo second at 209. Jisun Kang’s 69 lifted her into a three-way tie for third with Lee and Hwang at 210.

Among the local contenders, Daniella Uy emerged as the top Filipina with a steady even-par 72, finishing joint 12th at 216, though it fell short of Pauline del Rosario’s joint fourth-place effort in last year’s staging at The Country Club. Chanelle Avaricio rallied with a 69 to place joint 24th at 219, while Princess Superal settled for joint 34th at 221.

Del Rosario, Mafy Singson, and Sarah Ababa ended their campaigns tied for 37th at 222.

Huang’s wire-to-wire authority underscored a return to peak form, as she combined fearless scoring bursts with composed shot-making when the pressure briefly mounted—an emphatic reminder of her pedigree on the regional tour.
