Cebu Pacific flew 2.1 million passengers in August 2025, slightly down by 0.4% compared to the same month last year. Despite the dip, the airline’s seat load factor (SLF) rose to 83.7% from 81.3%, thanks to disciplined capacity management. Total seat capacity fell 3.2% year-on-year.
Domestic operations carried fewer passengers, dropping 4.4% from August 2024 amid a 10.7% reduction in available seats. This cutback, however, lifted the domestic SLF by 5.7 percentage points to 87.6%, signaling more efficient fleet utilization. International traffic told a different story, with passenger numbers surging 13.3% year-on-year on the back of a 21.4% increase in seats. This expansion temporarily eased international SLF to 74.2%, down by 5.3 points.
From January to August 2025, Cebu Pacific carried 18.1 million passengers, a 15.2% jump from the same period last year. Domestic travelers reached 13.5 million (+14.0%), while international passengers climbed to 4.6 million (+18.8%). Seat capacity expanded 15.1% to 21.3 million seats, with SLF averaging a healthy 85.2%.
