Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, is gearing up for the busiest travel months of the year by signing a damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air to boost its fleet capacity during the December to January peak season.
Under the agreement, two Airbus A320ceo aircraft from Bulgaria Air will be added to CEB’s operational lineup. Each jet will seat 180 passengers and serve four major domestic routes—Manila to Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro—from December 2025 to January 2026.
Bulgaria Air, the national carrier of the Republic of Bulgaria, brings decades of experience in aircraft leasing to global partners. Through this damp lease arrangement, Bulgaria Air will supply the aircraft, pilots, maintenance, and insurance, while Cebu Pacific will provide its own cabin crew to ensure the signature Filipino warmth in every flight.
“We are continuously exploring ways to expand our fleet and ensure operational resilience,” said Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao. “This partnership with Bulgaria Air allows us to respond quickly to the strong travel demand during the holiday season.”
Bulgaria Air’s fleet is known for its safety, comfort, and reliability. The collaboration underscores both airlines’ shared commitment to delivering seamless, high-quality service to travelers worldwide.
“We are pleased to partner with Cebu Pacific – one of the most dynamically developing airlines in Asia,” said Hristo Todorov, Chairman of the Management Board of Bulgarian Airways Group. “This collaboration is yet another testament to the trust and professionalism that define our international leasing projects.”
As the country prepares for another surge in domestic tourism, Cebu Pacific’s timely move ensures that more Filipinos can reunite with loved ones and explore new destinations with ease during the festive season.
