The Cleveland Cavaliers remain undefeated, improving to 12-0 with a 119-113 win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night at the United Center.
Donovan Mitchell led the charge, scoring 36 points with eight rebounds, including a sizzling 25-point first half. The Cavaliers are the last unbeaten team in the NBA and have matched the best start in franchise history. They’re only the seventh team in league history to begin a season 12-0 or better.
Despite trailing by nine in the third quarter, Cleveland mounted a comeback with an 11-2 run to tie the game, then pulled ahead in the fourth. Key plays from Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and a fast-break steal by Ty Jerome sparked a decisive 9-2 run that helped seal the win.
Darius Garland added 17 points and five assists, while Mobley finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Zach LaVine led Chicago with 26 points, but the Bulls were undone by 20 turnovers, which the Cavs converted into 35 points.
Cleveland’s next challenge comes Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, where a win would equal their longest winning streak in franchise history.
