Catriona Gray once again stepped into the spotlight—but this time, not for a crown, but for a cause that touches lives far beyond the runway.
Nearly a decade after her Miss Universe win, Gray continues to use her influence for impactful advocacy. Recently, she shared the runway not with fellow beauty queens, but with young cancer survivors and patients currently undergoing treatment. The fashion show was part of a moving charity gala organized by the I Want to Share Foundation, which is committed to improving the lives of children battling cancer.
The runway transformed into a stage of courage and hope as Gray walked alongside 20 young cancer warriors. Each child wore specially crafted pieces from renowned Filipino designers like Dennis Lustico, Michael Leyva, and Ivarluski Aseron. Gray herself wore a piece by acclaimed designer Francis Libiran, but it wasn’t just the fashion that stole the spotlight—it was the strength of the children she stood with.
“These children are the real stars,” Gray wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. “To share this moment with them was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve ever had.”
The night wasn’t just symbolic; it was transformative. The charity gala successfully raised 28 million pesos. The funds are earmarked for the construction of a bone marrow transplant wing, the purchase of essential infusion pumps, and ongoing medical and emotional support for pediatric cancer patients at the Cancer Institute’s Hema-Onco Department.

Backstage, Gray connected with the kids and their families—sharing laughs, stories, and quiet moments of inspiration. She emphasized the power of unity in creating real change. “When we come together, the impossible becomes possible,” she said.
This event is just one of many chapters in Gray’s growing legacy of advocacy. From launching her own Legacy Ball in support of underprivileged youth to her role as an arts ambassador with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, she has seamlessly blended pageantry with purpose.
While she may have once won a crown for her beauty and grace, it’s her compassion and commitment to others that continue to define her journey.
