The devastating California wildfires have left a trail of destruction, claiming the homes of numerous celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, and Adam Brody. Fueled by strong winds, the fires have ravaged Malibu and Pacific Palisades, displacing tens of thousands of residents, including some of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces.
Paris Hilton, 43, shared her harrowing experience fleeing her Malibu home with her pets. Posting on social media, Hilton described the chaotic evacuation, where she scrambled to gather her dogs before leaving at midnight.
“We packed up the car and evacuated with all our babies,” she shared in a video, showing her pets huddled together in the backseat. Later, Hilton watched helplessly as her waterfront home burned to the ground, an experience she described as “heartbreaking beyond words.”

“This home was where we built so many precious memories,” Hilton wrote. “The loss is overwhelming, but I’m grateful my family is safe. My heart aches for everyone affected by these fires.”
Despite the devastation, Hilton assured her followers that her team was coordinating with nonprofit organizations to support affected communities. She also thanked firefighters and first responders, calling them “true heroes.”
A widespread impact on Hollywood
Hilton is one of many celebrities whose homes were destroyed or threatened by the fires. Actress Anna Faris and her family lost their home, while actors Adam Brody and Leighton Meester reported significant damage.

James Woods, Eugene Levy, Miles Teller, and Keleigh Teller were among the others who lost their residences. Meanwhile, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hamill, and Mandy Moore were forced to evacuate, and some are still awaiting news about their properties’ fate.
Curtis revealed that her family was safe but feared for her neighborhood and home, adding that many of her friends had lost everything. Moore shared her struggles to shield her children from the emotional toll, saying, “It’s a terrifying situation, and I’m gutted for the destruction and loss.”
Officials reported that at least 70,000 residents were under evacuation orders, with nearly 30,000 structures at risk. The Pacific Palisades area, a hillside enclave known for celebrity homes, has been a brutal hit.
The chaos extended beyond the fire zones. Roadways became impassable as residents abandoned vehicles and fled on foot, carrying what belongings they could.
Amid the disaster, Hollywood’s typically celebratory awards season was subdued. Events like premieres and awards ceremonies were canceled or scaled back, reflecting the somber mood of a community grappling with loss.
Celebrities rally for support
Many celebrities have used their platforms to raise awareness and support relief efforts as the fires continue to burn. Hilton and others called for donations to aid affected families, while some stars shared updates on their evacuation experiences to underscore the severity of the situation.
Hamill described the surreal scene as he evacuated, with small fires flanking the Pacific Coast Highway. “Evacuated Malibu last minute,” he wrote. “It’s a night I’ll never forget.”
A shared tragedy
The California wildfires have once again highlighted the vulnerability of even the wealthiest communities to natural disasters. The loss of homes and memories is profound for those affected, but the sense of solidarity and determination to rebuild shines through.

In the words of Paris Hilton: “Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope. We’re in this together, LA.”
