BSP lights up Christmas display, amplifies holiday financial safety reminders

BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. and other officials celebrate the lighting of the holiday display at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas head office in Manila, November 27, 2025.

BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. led the sparkling kickoff of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Christmas season, lighting the iconic holiday display at the BSP head office in Manila on November 27, 2025. But beyond the festive glow, the ceremony doubled as a reminder of the central bank’s year-end financial advocacies, particularly the importance of staying vigilant against scams during the holidays.

Governor Remolona also encouraged Filipinos to embrace safer, smarter money practices this season—such as sending aguinaldo digitally and saving cash gifts in banks or e-wallets—amplified through the BSP’s yuletide-themed digiwall along Roxas Boulevard.
