Acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. led the leadership turnover at the Police Regional Office in Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) on Wednesday.
During the ceremony, Nartatez formally announced Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano as the acting regional director, succeeding Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon.
Nartatez emphasized that the PNP’s mandate and commitment to anti-crime efforts “will remain aggressive,” reminding personnel of their duty to public service. Abrahano, in turn, pledged to maintain peace and order, focusing on community-level policing to curb criminal activities.
PRO-10 spokesperson Maj. Joann Navarro noted that their unit is among the few regional offices currently undergoing leadership change, along with PRO-2 (Cagayan Valley) and PRO-4B (Southwestern Tagalog).
