They may wear bright smiles on stage, but behind the sequins and synchronized moves, BINI knows all too well the sting of criticism. And instead of dodging it, they’ve chosen to harness it.
During the launch of their Journey Beyond the BINIverse photo journal at the Dolphy Theater on August 21, the group took a moment to reflect on how they deal with controversies and harsh commentary—something every artist eventually faces.
“Hindi ko ipapanggap na hindi ako naaapektuhan,” Gwen admitted. “We hear it, we feel it. But at the same time, we’ve learned to choose our battles. Kung may lesson, I take it. Kung masakit, I use it to push myself to do better.”
The members, dressed in striking black-and-white ensembles, spent the night playing games and sharing stories with their fans, but their candor about challenges showed the maturity behind their artistry.
For BINI, criticism is no longer a distraction—it’s fuel. Jhoanna explained, “We don’t ignore the chaos, but we don’t let it control us either. It makes us sharper, mas hungry to prove ourselves.”
