Stefanie Berberabe delivered a scintillating all-around performance to power Tagaytay-Tol to a 72-58 win over RK Hoops-Quezon City in the 2025 Women’s Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League on Wednesday night at Montano Hall in Quezon City.

Berberabe tallied 12 points, 11 rebounds, and a league-record 14 steals—while also dishing out eight assists—as the Patriots snapped a two-game skid to improve to 3-6 and keep their hopes for a twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals alive.

“I love playing with this team. Every time I get to step on the court, I just don’t take it for granted. I always want to give my all and never give up,” said Berberabe.

After leading 38-23 at halftime, Tagaytay-Tol saw their cushion shrink to 40-33 midway through the third as Anna Escotido, Bernaly Aragon, and Maria Cayco fueled an RK Hoops run. But Berberabe and Justine Domingo responded with clutch baskets to push the Patriots ahead 58-40, a lead they protected until the final buzzer.

“In a way, we are happy because we won. But we are not satisfied with the win because our goal is to play much, much better for the upcoming games, especially as we enter an important phase of the tournament,” said head coach Tito Reyes.

Domingo added 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while Monique Del Carmen and Danica Pacia chipped in eight points apiece. Skipper Luisa San Juan and Claudine Santos also contributed seven each.

Tagaytay-Tol faces San Juan-DN Steel on October 5 at 6 p.m. in Pangasinan.

For RK Hoops-QC, Buendia tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Natasha Alcantara and Escotido had 11 and 10, respectively, as the team absorbed its sixth straight loss to fall to 1-6. They next battle Pangasinan-Solar Home on October 5 at 8 p.m.
