THE 2025 Batang PBA tournament gets going on Monday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Hostilities in the 15-and-under division fires off at 10 a.m. followed by four games in both the 11-and-under and 9-and-under divisions.
Teams with scheduled game on Monday will be announced after the brief opening ceremony.
A total of eight teams are entered in the 11U division led by reigning champion Talk ‘N Text which has Rain or Shine, San Miguel and Terrafirma as company in Group B.
Group A has Meralco, NLEX, NorthPort and Phoenix.
The 9U division with only four teams competing, is led by defending titlist Barangay Ginebra along with Blackwater, Converge and Magnolia.
A friendly 3×3 game is also slated on opening day featuring Ginebra’s Calvin Rafael Bustria, Xianrei Chavez, Eduard Allen Manuel and Robin Francis Marcial against Ken XToff Jacy Montillo, Jace Vicente, Gian Antonius Ortega and Khris Zandrei Tumanda of Magnolia.
Last year, Ginebra ruled the 9U division while PBA Greats reigned supreme in the 11U division.
The 13U and 15U tournaments will be played after the two younger divisions.
TNT topped last year’s 13U tournament while Converge is the defending titlist in the 15U.
