In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the Social Security System (SSS) and Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) are redefining convenience for Filipinos with the launch of the MySSS Card. This innovative 2-in-1 solution combines a government-issued SSS ID with a UnionBank-powered Visa debit card, offering a seamless way to manage benefits and financial transactions in one sleek package.
“This partnership marks a major step forward in making government services more accessible and efficient for our members,” says Robert Joseph M. De Claro, President and CEO of SSS. “The MySSS Card empowers our members with a secure and convenient way to receive their benefits, while also serving as an official SSS-recognized ID.”
The MySSS Card gives members direct access to their SSS benefits, loans, and refunds through a UnionBank savings account, simplifying transactions like never before. With a simple online application through the UnionBank Online app, members can obtain a Visa debit card that supports worldwide transactions, digital payments, and mobile banking.
“Together with SSS, we are once again reimagining what banking can be like for millions of Filipinos,” shares Ana Aboitiz Delgado, President and CEO of UnionBank. “This new product allows SSS members with a Philsys ID to get a MySSS Card, expanding eligibility to over 40 million Filipinos. We are proud to support financial inclusion through this initiative.”

The MySSS Card is designed for the digitally savvy, delivering speed, security, and simplicity for both financial and government-related transactions. It reflects a shared commitment between SSS and UnionBank to extend basic financial services to more Filipinos, including the unbanked.
Filipinos are encouraged to stay tuned for the official rollout of the MySSS Card—a product that promises faster, safer, and smarter access to SSS benefits through an innovative public-private collaboration.
