The Ayala Group has reinforced its partnership with the Philippine National Police – Southern Police District to further enhance public safety and security across major business districts in southern Metro Manila, areas that serve as key engines of commerce and daily activity.
The renewed collaboration was formalized during a signing ceremony on January 27, where the Ayala Group Corporate Security Council, composed of security heads from Ayala business units such as ACEN, Ayala Land’s Ayala Property Management Corporation, BPI, Globe, and Makati Development Corporation, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the SPD and police chiefs from Makati, Taguig, Pasay, and Parañaque.
The agreement institutionalizes a long-standing working relationship between the Ayala Group and the SPD, covering business districts that host Ayala malls, offices, residential communities, parks, and other high-density developments that attract heavy daily foot traffic.
Ayala Corporation Managing Director and Head of Security Management Ret. Gen. Manny Bautista, who also chairs the Ayala Group Corporate Security Council, emphasized that safety is central to the group’s long-term vision.
He said Ayala views security as a foundation of resilience and sustainable growth, noting that protecting people, assets, and host communities is a shared responsibility that depends on close and continuous coordination with public sector partners.
For the police, the partnership highlights the value of collaboration in extending the reach and effectiveness of law enforcement. SPD District Director Police Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said public safety outcomes improve when the public and private sectors work in tandem, particularly with partners that actively invest in prevention, preparedness, and rapid response.
Under the agreement, the Ayala Group and the SPD will deepen cooperation through operational coordination, joint patrols, public safety campaigns, real-time sharing of security information, and close collaboration in crisis response and crowd management.
These measures are aimed at improving response times, strengthening crime prevention and deterrence, and ensuring safer, more secure environments in southern Metro Manila’s busiest business and commercial centers.
