The Ayala Group has kicked off an inspiring new chapter for 100 driven students through its flagship internship initiative—the Ayala Group Summer Internship Program (AGSIP). More than just an internship, AGSIP is a six-week transformational journey that empowers young minds to gain hands-on experience while discovering their own personal mission, purpose, and values.
This year’s dynamic cohort hails from 20 top schools in the Philippines, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada—bringing together a diverse mix of talent, culture, and energy.
“AGSIP is integral to our commitment to developing the next generation of leaders—not just for Ayala, but for the nation,” said Ayala Corporation Chief Human Resources Officer Paco Milán. “Beyond work experience, we want our interns to reflect on their own purpose, values, and the kind of impact they want to make.”
From day one, interns were immersed in Ayala’s storied legacy, gaining insights into how the 190-year-old conglomerate evolved into one of the Philippines’ most respected institutions. The program blends business exposure with meaningful activities that spark both professional and personal growth.
As part of their journey, interns toured the ACEN renewable energy plant in Alaminos, Laguna, where they also planted nearly 500 native trees—putting sustainability into action. They engaged in high-level masterclasses with top HR leaders from across the group, including Ayala Land Inc., BPI, Globe, and ACEN, learning how corporate values shape company culture and decision-making.
One of the highlights of the program is a forward-thinking hackathon hosted by GCash, in partnership with AWS and BPI. Here, interns will put their creativity to the test using generative AI and no-code tools to solve real-world business challenges.
The internship will conclude with a powerful masterclass featuring four of Ayala’s senior executives. They’ll offer a behind-the-scenes look at how Ayala’s core values guide the company through key strategic decisions—giving interns an insider’s view of leadership in action.
Through AGSIP, Ayala is not only shaping future professionals, but purpose-driven changemakers ready to lead with heart and vision.
