Ayala Corporation has issued a public warning against a new investment scam that is exploiting the company’s name to deceive unsuspecting individuals online.
In an advisory, Ayala Corporation said fraudulent Facebook and Viber accounts posing as “Spinneys Philippines” are falsely claiming ties to the conglomerate to entice people into a supposed investment scheme.
The fake accounts — operating under the names @spinneysphilippines2025 on Facebook and @spineysph on Viber — reportedly promise guaranteed returns in exchange for money sent by participants.
Ayala stressed that it has no connection whatsoever to these accounts or to any investment offerings being promoted under the Spinneys Philippines name. The company said it does not endorse, support, or participate in any such activities, describing them as clear attempts to defraud the public.
“All official announcements and communications from Ayala Corporation are released only through our verified channels,” the company said, urging the public to rely solely on its official website and authenticated social media pages for accurate information.
The conglomerate reiterated its call for heightened vigilance, warning that scammers are increasingly leveraging the names and reputations of well-known organizations to appear legitimate.
Ayala also advised the public to be cautious of online investment offers that guarantee returns or pressure individuals to send money, emphasizing that if an offer appears too good to be true, it most likely is.
