A new early childhood care and development center has opened in San Remigio, giving daycare learners a safer and more comfortable space for classes and play.

Mayor Margarito Mission Jr. said the Php 3 million facility in the town proper replaced an older learning center that had already deteriorated.

The new center serves 35 children and is equipped with tables, chairs and learning materials designed for young learners.

It also has separate restrooms for boys and girls, a playground and perimeter fencing intended to improve safety on the premises.

Mission said the project was meant to provide children with a more suitable environment during their early years of education.

The facility is accredited by the National Early Childhood Care and Development Council, allowing it to operate under national standards for child development services.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Lazaro Petinglay welcomed the project, saying it went beyond infrastructure by supporting the broader development needs of children during their formative years.

Local officials said the center is expected to strengthen early learning services in San Remigio while giving families greater confidence in the safety and condition of the town’s daycare facilities.
